Dmitri Choutov has a wealth of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on engineering and leadership roles.

Dmitri currently serves as the Founder and COO of Swave Photonics, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, Dmitri worked at In2rbo, Inc starting from September 2015, where they held the role of "Nursing a unicorn" with no specified end date.

Before their current roles, Dmitri held various positions at Atomera, Lam Research, Crocus Technology / Crocusnano, Luxera, Inc., Maxim Integrated, National Semiconductor, and the Institute of Applied Physics. At Atomera, they served as the VP of Engineering from November 2015 to March 2021. Dmitri was the Director at Lam Research from October 2014 to November 2015. Prior to that, they held the position of VP Technology at Crocus Technology / Crocusnano from October 2011 to September 2014.

From January 2010 to October 2011, Dmitri was the Co-Founder and CTO of Luxera, Inc. Dmitri gained significant experience at Maxim Integrated, where they began their career as a Sr. Scientist/Director in July 1999 and remained there until January 2010.

Before joining Maxim Integrated, Dmitri worked as a Staff Engineer at National Semiconductor from April 1997 to July 1999. Dmitri started their professional career as a Research Associate at the Institute of Applied Physics in May 1987, where they remained until December 1993.

Dmitri Choutov pursued their education in a dedicated and progressive manner, focusing on the field of physics. Dmitri began their educational journey at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 1981 to 1987, where they earned their Master of Science (M.S.) degree. Dmitri then proceeded to the Institute of Applied Physics, where they pursued a Ph.D. degree from 1987 to 1992, emphasizing their studies in the field of nonlinear optics of semiconductor surfaces.

Following the completion of their Ph.D., Dmitri Choutov further expanded their knowledge and expertise by undertaking a Postdoctoral position at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1997. During their time there, they focused on process development, broadening their understanding in this specific area.
