William Boulding ’77 is the dean and J.B. Fuqua Professor of Business Administration at Fuqua School of Business, Duke University; vice president at Duke Global Inc.; and chair of the Board of Directors at Duke Corporate Education His research and teaching interests lie at the intersection of management, marketing, and strategy. His award-winning work has been published in several journals, including Marketing Science, Management Science, the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Research, the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Marketing Research, and the New England Journal of Medicine. Boulding is a past recipient of The Outstanding Teacher award from Fuqua and has been cited for teaching excellence in various editions of the book Business Week Guide to the Best Business Schools. He is also a recipient of the Bank of America Faculty Award "for excellence in teaching, research, leadership, and service."
Boulding earned a B.A. in economics with honors from Swarthmore and a Ph.D. in managerial science and applied economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
