Rainer Karcher is an experienced sustainability leader and technology advocate currently serving as the Founder & CEO of Heartprint GmbH since July 2024, focused on enhancing corporate sustainability efforts. As Chief Sustainability Officer and Board Member at SustainableIT.org since February 2023, Rainer emphasizes the role of technology leaders in advancing global sustainability. Previously, Rainer held key roles including Global Head of Sustainability & Human Rights Officer at Allianz Technology and Global Director of IT Sustainability at Siemens, where efforts aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Agenda. With foundational experience in IT and service management roles at arvato systems, First Data Corporation, TeleCash GmbH & Co. KG, and IBM, Rainer is committed to integrating sustainable practices within technology sectors. Rainer obtained a degree from ESCP Business School in Human Rights and has a Fachinformatiker certification from IHK Stuttgart.
