Francois Van Themaat serves as the Managing Director of Large Projects at Sustainable Power Solutions (SPS), a prominent pan-African funder and operator of solar PV and battery storage plants in the commercial and industrial sector since January 2015. In addition, Francois held the position of CEO at SPS Investments, which focuses on innovative funding solutions to enhance access to high-quality solar and battery solutions for businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to these roles, Francois was CEO of Mettle Solar Investments from 2015 to December 2021, where the company specialized in the design, installation, financing, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems, providing a range of grid-connected, hybrid, and off-grid solutions across Southern Africa.
