Louis Parkin is an experienced software engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer in the observability department at SUSE since June 2024. Prior to this, Louis held various roles at StackState, including Compliance Lead, Security Lead, Software Engineer, and Team Lead from April 2021 to September 2024. Louis also led the mobile applications team as a Software Development Team Lead at Entersekt from June 2017 to April 2021. Earlier experience includes positions as a Software Engineer at Stone Three Venture Technology, a Software Developer for Saab Grintek Defence, and Senior Software Developer at NET1 UEPS Technologies Inc. Additionally, Louis has academic experience as a Lecturer at CTI Education Group and a C++ Demonstrator at North West University. Louis holds an Honours degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from North-West University.
