Bala Gopalan currently serves as the Vice President of Support Engineering at SUSE, a position held since December 2020. Previously, Bala was Vice President of Customer Support at Rancher Labs, which specializes in open-source software for container management, from September 2017 to December 2020. Additional experience includes serving as a Principal at Caruna Labs, Founder of Wiztr, and multiple senior roles at Citrix Systems, bHive Software, Mentorware, Cambridge Technology Partners, and MOREnet, demonstrating a robust career in software product development, customer support, and cloud services. Bala holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Chemical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
