Kelli King is a Program Officer at the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Kelli King served at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from August 2011 to October 2023 in various capacities, including Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Director of the William H. Thompson Scholars Learning Community, and Program Coordinator for the same community. Additionally, Kelli King taught as an instructor for the First Year Experience Seminar and served as an Adjunct Instructor for Multicultural Education at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Kelli King's earlier experience includes working as a Grant Evaluator at Columbia University and a Social Studies Teacher for grades 7-12 at Lincoln Public Schools. Kelli King holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Higher Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, alongside a Master of Arts in Historical Studies from Nebraska Wesleyan University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Education and History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
