Dave Tauzell has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Dave started their career in 1994 as a System Administrator at the University of Minnesota. In 1996, they joined U S West as a Developer. Dave then moved to Qwest Communications, where they worked as a Software Engineer from 1996 to 2001. During the same period, they also worked at HealthNexis as a Software Engineer. In 2001, Dave joined Surescripts as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they focused on designing, developing, and maintaining a high-volume, highly-available distributed system for connecting Health Care systems. Throughout their career, Dave has been involved in using technologies such as Java J2EE, NCPDP, HL7, X12, and XML.

Dave Tauzell attended the University of Minnesota from 1993 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Prior to that, they studied Music at North Dakota State University from 1991 to 1996, although it is unclear if they obtained a degree in this field.
