Sharon Allen serves as the Chief Marketing Officer and Deputy Director of Sales & Marketing for the California State Lottery, having been appointed by the Governor of California to oversee the division for the second largest lottery in the United States, focused on funding public schools. Previously, Sharon held the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy at NBCUniversal, Inc., where responsibilities included directing marketing strategies for NBC's programming and managing e-commerce initiatives. Prior roles at Showtime Networks encompassed Senior Vice President of Program Marketing & Advertising, where Sharon implemented successful marketing campaigns that significantly increased viewership and subscriptions, as well as earlier positions managing consumer and trade advertising. Sharon holds a B.A. in Communication Studies with a specialization in Business Administration from UCLA and has furthered leadership development through the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute and CTAM Cable Executive Management at Harvard Business School.
