Carolyn Becker is the Deputy Director of Public Affairs and Communications at the California State Lottery since July 2020. Previously, Carolyn served as Deputy Campaign Manager and Senior Communications Officer for the California Department of Public Health from December 2020 to September 2021, where Carolyn played a key role in the #VaccinateALL58 campaign. Prior to that, Carolyn was a Senior Vice President at Mercury Public Affairs, a public strategy firm from 2014 to February 2020. Carolyn's earlier career includes various roles in news production, including Executive Producer positions at KCRA/KQCA and KOVR/KMAX, and as an Assignment Editor and Producer at KXTV. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
