Charis Ng is currently the Director at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Prior to their current position, Charis worked as an Associate Director at The New School from April 2004 to December 2013. There, they were in charge of creating dashboards and balanced scorecards. Before that, they worked as a Research Analyst at Stony Brook University from August 1999 to July 2001.
Charis has also worked in the field of institutional research. Charis was an Institutional Research at NEAIR from January 2004 to December 2011. In this role, they were responsible for conducting studies and surveys to collect data on various topics related to the school, such as student enrollment and graduation rates. Prior to that, they worked as a Summer Research Fellow at the National Opinion Research Center from June 1999 to August 1999. There, they researched the 2000 Census Awareness Ad Campaign and the impact of the change in Race and Charis'spanic categories.
Charis began their research career as a Research Analyst at the Social Research Office at Queens College from September 1995 to December 1997.
Charis Ng has a Master of Arts in Sociology from Stony Brook University and a Master of Arts in Applied Social Research from Queens College.
