Bautista RodrÃguez Sánchez holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oviedo, majoring in Electricity, Electronics, and Automation. He has successfully completed the Advanced General Management Program at the European School of Business Administration, and the Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School.
He began his professional career at Electricité de France in Lille (France) in 1988, as part of the European Union's Comett Project.
In 1989, he joined Hidroeléctrica del Cantábrico, where he worked as Head of Transmission and Distribution Network Planning until 1999.
From 1999 to 2002, he was Director of Planning and Customers at Hidrocantábrico Distribución, where he was involved in regulatory issues and, in particular, in the Spanish Electricity Distribution Activity Remuneration Model, as well as developing new competitive electricity distribution markets.
From 2002 to 2007, he held the positions of Director of Renewables and Networks at Hidrocantábrico and Director of Construction at NEO (EDP).
