Anja Wells has extensive work experience in both legal counsel and tax roles. Anja started their career in 1998 at KPMG, where they worked as a Manager until 2006. In 2006, they joined Sunrise Senior Living as the Senior Director of International Tax, a position they held until 2018. From 2018 to 2021, Anja served as the Senior Director of Legal Counsel at Sunrise Senior Living. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President & Associate General Counsel at Sunrise Senior Living.

Anja Wells obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1998. Prior to that, they attended Heidelberg University for their law degree. Anja also holds a license to practice law in New York.
