Abbas Syed is a seasoned professional in technology and information management risk, currently serving as the AVP of Technology & Information Management Risk at Sun Life since October 2011. Abbas has an extensive background in cyber security, having held multiple roles there, including AVP of Cyber Security Risk and Director of Information Security Risk Management. Prior experience includes working at CIBC from May 2007 to September 2011 in various information security roles, and at Goodrich Landing Gear as an Information Center Analyst from November 2005 to April 2007. Abbas's academic credentials include degrees from Harvard University, Ryerson University, and Sheridan College.
