Shirin Treadwell is currently a Customer Liaison at Sun Genomics. Prior to this, they worked as a contractor for Medical Science & Computing (MSC), SAIC-Frecerick, Inc., and SAIC-Frederick, Inc. Shirin has also worked in the private sector for Charles River Laboratories, Covance, and Kyowa Kirin Pharmaceutical Research, Inc. Shirin began their career at the FDA.

Shirin Treadwell holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of South Carolina Upstate.
