Shawn Vance is an experienced aviation professional with a diverse background in both piloting and airline operations. Currently serving as Captain at Sun Air Jets since February 2020, Shawn has extensive experience as a corporate pilot for various aircraft including Falcon DA-2000 and Citation Excel as a contract pilot since September 2008. Previously, Shawn held lead captain positions at Clay Lacy Aviation and Guthey-Renker Aviation, where responsibilities included serving as safety officer. Shawn's aviation career began at SkyWest Airlines, where roles ranged from customer service representative to captain on the EMB 120 over a 20-year period. In addition to aviation, Shawn has pursued a formal education in nursing, obtaining both a Bachelor's and Associate degree in Registered Nursing.
