Tamaé Avis has worked for three companies since 2008. Tamaé began their career at ATAGO U.S.A., Inc. in 2008, where they held the roles of Sales Marketing Manager, Marketing Representative, and Administrative Assistant. In 2015, they moved to KPMG US, where they worked as a Tax Senior Associate. In 2018, Tamaé joined SumZero, Inc. as a Lead Engineer and Full Stack Developer.

Tamaé Avis completed a 1000-hour full-stack programming course with a < 3% acceptance rate at App Academy, followed by a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of Washington.
