Lexi Maerz is currently a Research Assistant at the University of Washington, focusing on nanocellulose production and applications within the Bioresource Science and Engineering laboratories. Simultaneously, Lexi serves as an ER and ICU Veterinary Assistant at Summit Veterinary Referral Center, administering critical care and assisting with patient management in emergency settings. Previous roles include ER Veterinary Receptionist at Animal Urgent Care, Veterinary Assistant at Eastlake Veterinary Hospital, and Desk Service Representative at Housing & Food Services UW. Lexi holds a Master of Science in Environmental and Forest Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Bioresource Science & Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Art, both from the University of Washington, and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 2017.
