Akef El Maghraby is an accomplished banking executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within prominent financial institutions. Currently serving as Chairman at Suez Canal Bank since April 2024, Akef previously held the position of Vice Chairman at Banque Misr from August 2016 to April 2024. Additionally, Akef was the Corporate Bank Head at Citigroup, overseeing the Corporate and Investment Banking division in Egypt from February 2013 to April 2024. Akef El Maghraby holds an MBA from The American University in Cairo.
