Laurel Stinson has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Laurel began their career in 2012 as a Pit Orchestra Director at Vestal High School. Laurel then worked as a Cellar Guide at Empire State Cellars and as Tasting Room Staff at Laurel Lake Vineyards. In 2013, they became a Vocal & Instrumental Music Teacher at Grand Street Campus and a Conductor at Grand Street Community Band. From 2015 to 2018, Laurel served as a Conductor and Teaching Artist at InterSchool Orchestras of New York. In 2017, they joined Midwood High School as a Band Director. In 2018, Laurel took on the roles of Woodwind Specialist and Coach at Third Street Music School Settlement and Sales Representative at Angels Share Wine. Currently, they work at Success Academy Charter Schools as a Music Teacher and Senior Scholar Talent Lead.

Laurel Stinson attended Ithaca College from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. Laurel also participated in the Summer Wind Conducting Symposium at Northwestern University. In 2019, Laurel obtained a Level 2 certification from WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust).
