Miguel Ángel Alonso Martínez has extensive experience in the maritime and shipbuilding industries, currently serving in Bunker Purchasing, Chartering & Commercial Operations at Suardiaz Group since January 2017. Previous roles include Project Engineer at Astilleros Balenciaga S.A., where involvement focused on the construction of three Standby vessels for North Star Shipping, and Project Engineer at Ferrometal Group, coordinating a ship dismantling project in Senegal. Early career experiences include internships with Empresa Naviera Elcano, SENER, and Hogarte Arquitectos S.L., contributing to practical and technical skills in maritime operations and engineering. Miguel Ángel holds a Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an MBA in Shipping Business & Maritime Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
