David Krisch has worked in a variety of software engineering roles since 2004. David started their career as a Software Engineer at Science Applications International Corporation, where they worked on Java web development for a US government customer. David then moved on to Nextwave Wireless, where they created diagnostic and debugging tools for embedded systems. In 2007, they joined Xandros Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the CNR.com website using an XP-like methodology and standards based J2EE technologies. In 2010, they joined Akamai Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to a node.js web service for a large media customer. In 2013, they took a sabbatical and sailed a Contessa 26 from San Diego to San Francisco and then down to Puerto Vallarta. David then sailed 3,000nm to the Hawaiian Islands and spent 3 months cruising the Islands. In 2015, they joined Real Geeks as a Programmer, where they built new features and fixed bugs in a codebase that drove websites for 3000+ real estate agents in the US and Canada. David also worked as a Mid-Level Java Developer at DSA in 2015. In 2019, they joined ThoughtWorks as a Senior Software Development Engineer. Most recently, they joined StyleSeat in 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer.
David Krisch has a diverse educational background. David completed a BS in Computer Science from San Diego State University in 2005, and an MBA in Business Administration - Entrepreneurship from the same university in 2009. David also attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1998 to 2001, studying Computer Science. In addition to their degrees, Krisch has obtained several certifications, including a Sun Certified Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems in 2004, a Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco in 2006, and a R Programming certification from Coursera in 2015, as well as a The Data Scientist’s Toolbox certification from Coursera in 2014.
