Andrew Olson has over 15 years of experience in software engineering. Andrew began their career in 2005 as a Software Engineer at Austin Lane Technologies, Inc. where they excelled in multiple roles covering the full SDLC, from requirements through implementation, providing top-level customer support and professional services. Andrew developed software that extended ERP systems to mobile devices, eliminating paperwork and saving people time. In 2010, they joined Compeat Restaurant Management Systems as a Senior Software Developer, where they led and co-developed a greenfield SaaS product built with AngularJS and .NET using DDD, and fostered a collaborative culture on a scrum team of 3 full-stack developers. Andrew also developed a rich labor scheduler as part of a large restaurant management application, using GoF patterns and TDD, and created a KPI dashboard and alerting system for restaurant managers. In 2016, they joined projekt202 as a Senior Developer, contributing to a long-term client's B2C and B2B web applications, serving individuals and Fortune 500 companies. Andrew learned unfamiliar frameworks quickly, and added unit test automation using Karma, Jasmine, and TeamCity. In 2017, they became a Senior Software Engineer at BookheadEd Learning, LLC.
Andrew Olson obtained a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of North Texas in 2005. In 2016, they earned a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance. Andrew also holds an MCAD from Microsoft.
