Matthias Schmieder is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of software development and robotics, currently serving as the Director of DevSecOps at Stryker since March 2016. In this role, Matthias leads a global agile DevOps team focused on creating cloud-native medical software applications aimed at enhancing preoperative planning for robotics-assisted orthopedic surgeries. Previous positions at Stryker include Senior Manager of R&D Robotics and Manager of R&D, specializing in cloud services and DevOps. Prior to Stryker, Matthias was the Lead Software Architect at Testo AG from January 2009 to March 2016, concentrating on image processing and pattern recognition. Matthias holds a degree in Informatik from The University of Freiburg, earned between 2003 and 2009.
