Nicholas Carpenter has held a variety of roles as a Motion Graphic Designer throughout their career. Nicholas most recently worked at Struck starting in 2021. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, they collaborated with the Sundance Institute content team to create live animated visuals for events at the Sundance Film Festival. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Overstock.com, designing motion graphic animations and video content for various marketing channels. In 2017, they worked at KSL 5 TV, where they designed graphics and animations for TV shows and worked on redefining the look of the lifestyle show Studio 5. Additionally, they have experience as a Designer and Program Director at AmeriCorps, where they focused on engaging students in events and campaigns related to sustainability. Nicholas also has experience as a Videographer and Photo Intern at the Jeffrey D. Clark Center for Entrepreneurship and as a Videographer and Motion Design Intern at the National Geographic PhotoArk. Nicholas began their career at Utah State University, where they worked as a Media Production Assistant and Photographer for the Utah Statesman.
Nicholas Carpenter attended Utah State University from 2012 to 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree with a focus on Graphic Design. Nicholas also simultaneously worked towards a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in Communications, Photography, and Videography.
