Michael Barreto has a diverse work experience in IT roles. Michael currently works as a Senior Microsoft Cloud Architect at Streamland Media since August 2022. Prior to this, they were an Infrastructure Architect at Sim from March 2021 to July 2022. During their time at Sim, Michael was involved in various IT projects such as company mergers, divestitures, system migrations, and Azure migration. Michael was responsible for architectural design, O365 administration, Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS administration, Azure Cloud Cost Management, and PowerShell scripting automation. Before joining Sim, Michael worked as a System Administrator at Sim from December 2019 to February 2021, where they played a key role in planning, vision, and architecting systems and solutions. Michael started their career as a Network Administrator at Welcome Networks from September 2017 to December 2019 and previously worked as an Infrastructure Analyst at CNH Industrial from December 2013 to July 2017.

Michael Barreto graduated with a Technologist degree in Computer Networking from Santa Cruz Integrated College from 2011 to 2013. Michael then furthered their education at Positivo University and obtained a Specialist degree in IT Operations from 2014 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Michael has obtained several certifications. Michael received the Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate certification from Microsoft in January 2023. In December 2015, they obtained the Information Storage Associate (EMCISA) certification from EMC. Furthermore, they earned the MCSA: Windows Server 2012 certification from Microsoft in June 2015 and the MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional certification in September 2013. It is not specified when they obtained the ITIL Foundation Level certification.
