Igor Faoro is a highly experienced technical advisor in geomechanics with a focus on providing geomechanical support for core lab testing and consulting services within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as a Technical Advisor for Geomechanics at Stratum Reservoir since December 2021, Igor has previously held senior roles at Premier Oilfield Group and Core Laboratories. With a solid background in rock mechanics and geoscience, Igor began their career as an Engineer/Geoscientist at ConocoPhillips and has also contributed to academia as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Durham University and the University of Southern California. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master's Degree in Energy and Geo-Environmental Engineering from Penn State University, and an additional Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
