Butch Wood is an experienced professional in systems engineering and defense acquisitions, currently serving as a Systems Engineering Technical Advisor at Stratos Solutions, Inc. since December 2023. Prior to this role, Butch held various positions including Staff Officer at the United States Space Force, Professor of Defense Acquisitions Program Management at the Defense Acquisition University, and Program Manager at the National Reconnaissance Office. With extensive experience in project management across multiple defense-related programs, Butch also served as Deputy Chief of the Engineering Division at the Advanced Systems & Development Directorate and managed high power directed energy projects at the Missile Defense Agency. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Management, Intelligence & Counter-terrorism from Henley-Putnam School of Strategic Security and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Science from San Jose State University.
