Nishant Shekhar has worked as an Associate Bioinformatics Engineer at Strand Life Sciences since February 2023. Prior to that, they were a Project Associate at CSIR-IGIB from September 2022 to January 2023.

Nishant Shekhar began their education in 2014, attending the Central Board of Secondary Education. Nishant completed their Higher Secondary Education in Biology, General in 2016. In 2017, Nishant enrolled at Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology, which they completed in 2020. Following this, they joined the Central University of South Bihar in 2020 to pursue an MSc in Bioinformatics, which they completed in 2022. Later in 2022, Nishant undertook a dissertation program in Transcriptomics(RNA-seq) at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology.
