William Neale is senior counsel to the law firm Krieg DeVault LLP in Indianapolis, from which he retired as a partner in 2018. He was elected to the board of USA Funds in 1997 and served as chairman of the Board from 2000 to 2009. He now serves on the Strada Governance and National Engagement committees. He was a director of USA Group from 1997 to 2000. He received a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and his Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Neale has numerous community affiliations, including: member of the advisory board of the Butler University Old National Bank Center for Business Excellence; emeritus director of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce; a member and past chairman of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Board of Visitors; emeritus director and former chairman of Young Audiences of Indiana; member of Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis; and member of the Indiana and Indianapolis Bar Associations. From 2000 to 2007 he served on the board of the Lumina Foundation for Education. From 1992 to 1995, he was a presidential appointee to the Council of the Administrative Conference of the United States, a federal agency formed to advise the executive, legislative, and judicial branches concerning administrative law matters.
