Joseph Tatro is a Senior Machine Learning Researcher at STR, with a focus on machine learning projects, including a successful proposal for the DARPA AIE program. Prior to this, Joseph served as a Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, investigating geometric learning and designing neural networks, and also held positions as a Teaching Assistant and Learning Assistant, instructing multivariable calculus and differential calculus, respectively. Joseph has interned at STR in computer vision research, developing algorithms for real-time georegistration and disparity map prediction, and has experience in marine imaging through an internship at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Joseph holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, alongside a B.S. in Mathematics and a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
