Emma Porter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Emma currently serves as the Managing Director at Story Contracting Limited since September 2019 and previously held the position of Construction Director from April 2019 to February 2021. In 2021, Emma founded and serves as the Director of The Rebuild Site, a social enterprise focused on repurposing surplus construction materials. Additionally, Emma is the Chair of the Carlisle Town Deal Board at Carlisle City Council since March 2020. Emma also holds prominent roles at Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership (CLEP), including Chair of the Cumbria LEP Construction Sector Panel since March 2019 and Board Member since February 2019. Prior to these roles, Emma worked at Arup as an Associate from April 2018 to October 2019 and as a Senior Consultant from January 2014 to April 2018.
