Per Sandberg has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Per started their career at Korsnäs AB, where they held various roles such as Personalman and Processoperatör. Per then moved on to AssiDomän Förenade Well AB, where they served as an HR Chef, responsible for implementing random drug tests within the company. Per later joined Gävle Kommun, Tekniska kontoret, as an Administrativ chef. Per then transitioned to Stora Enso, where they took on multiple roles, including HR Manager and Vice President, CFO/Group HR Support. In these positions, they provided HR support to top executives and oversaw HR matters across various countries. Overall, Per's work experience showcases their expertise in HR management and administration.

Per Sandberg studied at Höskolan i Östersund from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in the PA program. Prior to that, they attended Vasa Skolan i Gävle from 1977 to 1979 and completed a two-year Social line degree. In 2016, Sandberg participated in the Pathbreaker programme at IMD.
