Terry Burns has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Currently, Terry is the Director of GCP Quality Compliance at Stoke Therapeutics. Previously, Terry worked at Takeda as the Clinical Quality Assurance Program Lead, Associate Director, and as the Senior Program Manager for Clinical Quality Assurance - Oncology. Before joining Takeda, Terry served as the Senior Manager of Clinical Quality Assurance at TESARO, Inc. Prior to that, Terry held positions at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. as the Senior Manager of Research Quality Assurance, at Fresenius Biotech North America as a Clinical Project Manager, at Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals as the Associate Director of Clinical Operations, at Hybridon, Inc. as the Manager of Clinical Research, at Muro Pharmaceutical as the Associate Manager of Clinical Research, at Eligix as a Clinical Research Associate, and at AAI Development Services, formerly MTRA, as a Clinical Affairs Trainer.

Terry Burns pursued higher education at George Mason University from 1990 to 1992, where they earned a Master's degree in Experimental Neuropsychology. Prior to this, between 1986 and 1990, Terry attended James Madison University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree. The field of study for their Bachelor's degree is unspecified.
