Sharath Sasi has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Sharath recently joined Stoke Therapeutics in 2022 as a Principal Scientist in In Vitro Pharmacology. Prior to this, they worked at Pfizer for six years, starting in 2016. At Pfizer, they held the position of Senior Scientist and played a crucial role in small molecule drug discovery targets for NAFLD/NASH disease. Sharath was responsible for planning and executing cell-based assays, developing chem-bioassays, and performing IND enabling studies. Sharath also conducted cell-based phenotypic screens and optimized lipid-based delivery systems for identifying new targets in metabolic liver disease. Before Pfizer, Sharath worked as a Senior Research Associate at GeneSys Research Institute, Cardiovascular Research Center from 2011 to 2016. During this time, they focused on demonstrating mechanisms in tumor regression and leading a NASA-funded project on the effects of ionizing radiation on organ systems. Prior to that, they held research positions at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Overall, Sharath has a strong track record of conducting research, leading projects, and contributing to the field of pharmacology.

Sharath Sasi completed a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Bharathiar University, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Sharath then pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University from 2003 to 2005.
