Priya Swamy is a seasoned curator and academic with extensive experience in the fields of Globalisation and South Asian studies. Currently serving as a Curator at the Stichting Nationaal Museum van Wereldculturen since August 2018, Priya led a team on the redesign of the semi-permanent galleries at Wereldmuseum Rotterdam for the 2020 exhibition ‘Kruispunt Rotterdam’. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Researcher/Coordinator at Leiden Global Interactions, Researcher at Tilburg University, and multiple positions as a Lecturer and Instructor at Leiden University, specializing in courses related to South and Southeast Asian histories and literatures. With a strong foundation in research, including a focus on Hindu identities and citizenship, Priya holds a PhD in Area Studies from Leiden University, complemented by an MPhil from the same institution and a BA from McGill University.
