Rachel Richardson is a Research Scientist at Sterling Pharma Solutions since October 2023, following a tenure as a Research Chemist at NewChem Technologies Limited from October 2018 to October 2023. Previously, Rachel conducted research as a PhD student at Northumbria University from 2015 to September 2018, focusing on the design and synthesis of novel 1,2,4-triazine ligands for nuclear waste reprocessing. Experience also includes a research internship at Forschungszentrum Jülich in 2017, where collaboration involved extraction testing of ligands, and internships at Procter & Gamble and AkzoNobel, which provided R&D industry exposure and data analysis skills. Rachel holds a 1st Class Master's Degree in Applied Chemistry from Northumbria University, completed in 2015, and attended Durham Sixth Form Centre from 2008 to 2010.
