Erik van Wanrooij has extensive experience in leadership and support roles within the social services sector. Currently serving as Team Leader and Group Head at Sterk Huis since August 2009, Erik has previously worked as a Begeleider A at Stichting Prisma from August 2001 to August 2009, focusing on children's housing. Additionally, Erik began a career in the field as a Pedagogisch Medewerker at Stichting Valentijn, specializing in the care of unaccompanied minor asylum seekers from March 1998 to August 2001. Erik holds a degree from Avans University of Applied Sciences, completed between 2016 and 2020, and has foundational education from Koning Willem I College with a specialization in social work.
