Karen Kessler possesses extensive experience in community service and support roles, currently serving as a Recruiter Peer Mentor at Eastern WA University - Fostering WA since September 2017, where responsibilities include recruiting and supporting relative foster care givers. In addition, Karen has been the Ministry Coordinator for Stephen Ministries since January 2015, leading a team to care for church participants facing loss. As Volunteer Operations Manager at The ROC Rescue Mission since September 2014, Karen supports staff and volunteers dedicated to serving homeless individuals and under-resourced communities. Prior experience includes supervisory roles at Community Action Partnership Lewiston ID and Community Action Partnership Community Services from 1996 to 2012, along with educational positions such as Intervention Specialist and Chorus Director. Karen studied at Vennard College, the University of Kentucky, and Lewis-Clark State College between 1968 and 1973.
