Jonathan Chesterman, a certified member of the MIMA CertMAP, has extensive experience in debt advice and policy management. Currently serving as the Debt Advice Policy Manager at StepChange Debt Charity since February 2012, Jonathan oversees policy design, governance, and analysis, integrates FCA regulatory requirements, and introduced a new debt advice algorithm and knowledge management system. Prior roles at Consumer Credit Counselling Service Limited included Contact Centre Operations Manager, where Jonathan ensured quality performance and staff training, and Contact Centre Team Leader and Debt Advisor, focusing on client support and tailored debt management. Jonathan’s earlier experience includes work as a Library Assistant at Walsall Council and as an Entertainer at Warwick Castle. Jonathan holds a BA (Hons) in European Business Studies from the University of Humberside and Groupe Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Bordeaux.
