James von Simson TEP is a partner at Evelyn Partners since May 2016, specializing in advising multi-jurisdictional and multi-generational families within the firm's Private Office. In addition to this role, James serves on the Worldwide Council of STEP, the International Committee of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, and as an Ambassador for the Diversity Project in the investment industry. Previous experience includes being a Senior Portfolio Manager at Thurleigh Investment Managers LLP from 2011 until its acquisition by Evelyn Partners, a Senior Associate at Europa Partners focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the financial sector, and an Apparatchik for the Conservative Party. James began a career in finance as a Summer Analyst at Citigroup Global Markets in Frankfurt. Academic qualifications include a BA Dual Honours in Economics and Politics from Trinity College Dublin.
