Bruce Talbot is an experienced academic and researcher in the field of forestry and bioeconomy. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Stellenbosch University since January 2020, Talbot also holds the position of Senior Researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) since July 2015. Previous roles include Researcher at the Norwegian Forest & Landscape Research Institute, Senior Researcher at the Forest & Landscape University of Copenhagen, and Consultant/Project Coordinator at Danish Forestry Extension. Talbot's extensive background involves various projects focused on forest operations, biomass supply logistics, and bioenergy coordination, complemented by a strong educational foundation that includes a PhD in Forest Operations and MSc in Forestry from the University of Copenhagen, as well as a BSc in Forestry from Stellenbosch University.
