Heidi Garwood is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the healthcare sector, currently serving as a Board Member for Virtual Health Partners since June 2023 and as the Founder of Synchronous Strategies since November 2020, where the focus is on advising early-stage health companies. Previously, Garwood held leadership roles, including President of the Board of Directors at SHARE Cancer Support, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Continual Care Solutions, and President of Medicaid at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas, overseeing significant improvements in operations and compliance. As Chief Executive Officer for Florida Medicaid at Aetna, Garwood achieved notable growth and operational enhancements. Prior roles involved directing Medicaid programs at Humana and advocating for healthcare policies while working for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
