Dave Rivard has extensive experience in the steel industry, starting in 2003 as a Blast Furnace General Foreman at Stelco. From 2008 to 2011, they served as an Area Manager at US Steel, overseeing the operation of the Blast Furnace and Dock Facility. In 2011, they joined SNC-Lavalin, where they held various roles, including Senior Project Engineering Specialist and Project Manager. During this time, they worked on projects involving Blast Furnace repairs and waste-to-energy conversion facilities. In 2013, Rivard joined SNC Lavalin - Oil and Gas Toronto as a Commissioning Engineering Specialist, providing management services for a Carbon Capture Plant. In 2015, they became a Project Director at Anmar Mechanical & Electrical Contractors Ltd, where they managed projects in Southern Ontario. In 2019, they took on the role of Vice President Operations at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada.
Dave Rivard attended The University of British Columbia from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Metals and Materials Engineering.
