James Hall

IT Project and Support Team Lead at Steeper

James Hall has a diverse work experience in the IT field. James started their career as a Trainee IT Engineer at Solar Communications, where they provided on-site desktop support and assisted in maintaining the network infrastructure. James also handled various tasks such as maintaining SharePoint, Interact Intranet Software, and administering endpoint protection suites. In their subsequent role as a Junior IT Technician at the same company, they continued to provide desktop support and performed additional duties related to software administration and IT issue resolution.

After working at Solar Communications, James joined Lima Networks as a Helpdesk Engineer. Here, they worked on a customer-facing remote service desk, providing 1st and 2nd line support to local medium to enterprise-level businesses. James'sresponsibilities included logging and resolving support issues, as well as escalating more complex problems when necessary.

Following their time at Lima Networks, James worked as a Remote Support Engineer at Deans Computer Services PLC. In this role, they provided remote support to small to medium-sized businesses, offering assistance for desktop and server issues across various Windows operating systems.

James then moved on to Dynamic Networks Group, where they worked as a 2nd Line Technical Support Consultant. James provided IT support to small businesses, both remotely and through on-site visits. James ensured that all support requests were logged and responded to in a professional and timely manner.

Currently, James is employed at Steeper as the IT Project and Support Team Lead. James'sresponsibilities include leading the IT project and support team, resolving support requests, and ordering IT equipment for the business.

Throughout their work experience, James has demonstrated strong technical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to providing efficient IT support.

James Hall completed their education with a focus on computer hardware technology and IT software web and telecoms professionals. From 2011 to 2012, they pursued an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in IT Software Web & Telecoms Professionals at QA Apprenticeships. Prior to that, they attended The Blue Coat School from 2004 to 2009 and completed their GCSEs during this period. In addition to their formal education, James Hall obtained various certifications including Veeam Certified Engineer v9 from Veeam Software in February 2020, VMware Certified Associate 6 - Data Center Virtualization from VMware in February 2017, and several diplomas and certificates in ICT systems and principles from City & Guilds in June 2012. James also obtained certifications in CompTIA Network+ in December 2012 and CompTIA A+ in February 2012.
