Jaila Tolbert has held a variety of roles in the sports and marketing industry. In 2017, they began their career as a Marketing and Promotions Representative for Virginia Tech, followed by a role as an NCAA DI Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Representative for the NCAA. In 2019, they were a Former Student-Athlete Spokesperson for the NCAA and a Digital Marketing & Social Media Representative for The Decanteur. In 2020, they were a Trainee Account Executive for Octagon. In 2021, they were a Brand Strategist for Student Athlete NIL and a Brand Consulting; Account Coordinator for Elevate Sports Ventures. Currently, they are a Project Manager for StatusPRO.

Jaila Tolbert attended Breck School from 2002 to 2015 and then Virginia Tech from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Chinese Studies.
