Jason Attewell has an extensive background in economic and statistical analysis, currently serving as the General Manager for Economic and Environment Insights at Stats NZ since March 2001. Throughout their career at Stats NZ, Jason has held various senior roles, including General Manager for Social and Population Insights, and Senior Manager for Labour Market and Household Statistics, among others. Prior to their tenure at Stats NZ, Jason worked as the Director of Risk Consulting at PwC New Zealand for a brief period in 2021. Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Commercial Law from Victoria University of Wellington, earned between 1998 and 2000.
