Katrin Berntsen is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Lead Group Internal and Change Communications at Statkraft since March 2024. Prior to this role, Katrin was the VP of Communication at FREYR Battery from September 2021 to December 2023, and the Director of Communications at Aker BioMarine AS from March 2016 to September 2021, where responsibility included managing global communications and public relations. Further experience includes positions as Change Communication Lead and acting Head of Communications at Wilhelmsen Ships Service, Head of Global Media Relations at Opera Software in Oslo, Project Director at IntelliSearch in Norway, and various roles within the Bank of Estonia and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Estonia. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in European Politics from Lund University and multiple qualifications in European studies, law, and international relations from several institutions.
