Becky Levy is a results-oriented leader who thrives at the intersection of healthcare and mission-driven outcomes. She currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel of Summit Health, the healthcare network formed by the 2019 merger of Summit Medical Group, one of the nation’s premier independent physician-governed multispecialty medical groups, and CityMD, the leading urgent care provider in the New York metro area.
With more than 2,700 providers, 12,000 employees, and over 350 locations in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Central Oregon, Summit Health is the region’s premier integrated network of urgent, primary, and specialty care.
Becky joined Summit Medical Group as General Counsel in 2011 and has been a key member of the C-suite throughout Summit’s expansion from 150 providers to now more than 2,700 providers. In 2019, Becky led the strategy and execution of Summit Medical Group’s merger with CityMD to create Summit Health.
Becky has significant experience developing, managing and motivating legal and business teams through collaborative, cross-functional relationships. She drives vision and purpose, leading the execution of strategic initiatives for Summit Health. She is currently responsible for leading the following departments: Strategy, Legal & Governmental Relations, Sales and Occupational Medicine, Legal & Government Relations, Corporate Compliance & Privacy, Coding Compliance & Education, and Risk Management & Patient Relations. Prior to the merger with CityMD, Becky led Human Resources, Medical Staff Services & Recruitment, Employee Health Services and Business Development.
Becky is on the Board of Diamond Hill Insurance Company, LTD, a captive insurance company. Becky also proudly serves as the President of Summit Health Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
Prior to joining Summit Health, Becky was an attorney at a healthcare-focused law firm where she provided legal representation to physicians, medical practices, hospitals and surgery centers, and many other institutional and non-institutional healthcare providers.
Becky earned her Juris Doctor, with a Certified Concentration in Health Law, from Seton Hall School of Law. She was named a New Jersey Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in 2010 and 2011, was listed among NJBIZ’s “40 Under 40” in 2014 and was a finalist in NJBIZ’s “General Counsel of the Year” awards in 2015 and 2019. She is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York.
