Ryan Petersen is the current Editor in Chief at StateTech. Prior to their current position, they were a copy editor at Kane County Chronicle from March 2002 to December 2004. Ryan has also held a position as a copy editor at Moline Dispatch and Rock Island Argus from March 1999 to March 2002.

Ryan Petersen's educational career began at Boone High School. Ryan then went on to study journalism and communications at the University of Iowa.
